Black Glossy Cockatoo mural (Inside)

25 x 5.7-meter mural inside the Beerwah Library. Glossy Black Cockatoo mural at the Beerwah Library, including a developmental art workshop that will be conducted with the Youth of Beerwah to create a meaningful connection with the place, educating the youth on the importance of storytelling through art and teach them valuable skills in background texture design and pattern making. The power of spirit coming into your life is what the black cockatoo represents. It is meant to bring dreams and wonder into your life. The Black Cockatoo has significant meaning to the indigenous community and shows us important lessons and challenges. Its energy can bring empowerment, happiness, and contentment. Their screech is an announcement the rain is coming, representing nurture, nourishment, and replenishment. This mural will show the beauty of this bird and all its strength and meaning, empowering the local community and its visitors. This cockatoo is currently endangered and will help towards its conservation.
