Architectural Feature Mural for Bombay Bliss Maroochydore

This project marked my first mural commission on the Sunshine Coast. The brief, based on detailed architectural concept renderings, included precise specifications and clearly defined visual requirements. The challenge was to faithfully translate the architect’s vision into a hand-painted work while maintaining warmth and authenticity.

The design called for a traditional aesthetic inspired by Indian wall painting. To honour that intention, I went beyond simply matching the imagery — I textured the paint surface to replicate the tactile quality and handmade feel of traditional applications. This subtle material treatment added depth and authenticity to the finished mural, ensuring it felt lived-in rather than digitally reproduced.

Executed to exacting standards, the work demonstrates my ability to collaborate within architectural frameworks while maintaining painterly integrity and craftsmanship.
