Café 164 Rebrand & Mural – Chancellor State College

This project revitalised Café 164 at Chancellor State College, transforming the school café into a vibrant, energetic space with a distinct yet connected brand identity.

The brief was to refresh the café’s visual identity and create a cohesive look that felt playful, fresh, and appealing to students, while aligning with the broader school branding. The result was a bold, almost neon-inspired aesthetic in which stylised fruits, vegetables, smoothies, fruit bowls, pizza, and pasta emerge from a dramatic black background. Flowing, colourful lines swirl around each element, creating movement and energy throughout the space.

The project extended beyond the mural and included:

– Café 164 logo design

– Staff shirt graphics

– Interior round hot drinks blackboard

– Exterior breakfast menu blackboard

– Illustrated A-frame signage (treats on one side, savoury on the other)

Each element was designed in the same cohesive visual language, ensuring the café feels immersive and recognisable from every angle. The illustrated food elements pop against the dark backdrop, making the offerings both eye-catching and playful while elevating the overall experience of the school café.

This transformation demonstrates how mural art and branding can work together to reinvigorate educational spaces, strengthen identity, and create environments students genuinely enjoy spending time in.
