Post Malone mural - The Post Office Bar
This mural was created for the outdoor smoking courtyard at The Post Office Bar & Beer Garden. Honestly, the concept was too good not to run with. Post Malone at The Post Office. Given his stage smoking, placing the piece in the smoking area made perfect sense. Inspired by a photograph by Jason Nocito, I focused on that in-between moment, smoke drifting, head turned slightly, lost in the music. It feels intimate yet carries weight. Calm, yet charged with atmosphere.
The colour palette is bold and unapologetically nightclub. Electric teals and cyans clash beautifully with deep reds and glowing magentas, mimicking stage lights cutting through haze. The background was built up in layers of spray paint to create a cosmic, immersive glow. The smoke was airbrushed for softness and movement, while the portrait itself was hand-painted with brushes to bring out the detail, skin, tattoos, texture and shadow. At night, the piece really comes alive. Under venue lighting, the colours intensify, and the smoke almost feels like it’s still moving. The courtyard shifts from a smoking area to a backdrop, a place people gather, take photos, and become part of the scene.
I extended the same vibrant background treatment behind the neon sign at the nightclub entrance, creating a dedicated selfie moment and a strong visual anchor for Instagram shots. Carrying the palette through both inside and outside the venue, including the Boujee Mama murals, ties the entire space together. It’s not just a mural; it’s a cohesive atmosphere. The goal wasn’t simply to paint a portrait. It was meant to amplify the venue's energy, creating something that lives within the rhythm of the music, the crowd, and the night.
