Africa-Australia
The African/Australian themed were received by two very happy clients and a stunning room ready for the little one. Many animals to discover in this mural, and some very special requests executed, like the canopy on the ceiling, the lily pads, tree frogs bringing back memories for the client of paddling out a boat on the water, picking the lily's and making lily chain necklaces from them and decorating the boat with many green frogs. Plenty of happy tears. It was an absolute pleasure to paint this mural.
“When we originally thought of making the nursery special for our new grandchild, we thought of some animals to be painted on the wall, then when Mieke came over she told us she could do so much more.
When the work was completed to say we were blown away is an understatement. This is just incredible to realise how talented Mieke is. We don’t just have some animals on our wall, we have a scene from Africa that is truly magical. Not only was Wendy brought to tears, but her Mom also back in Africa was moved to tears with the realistic scene created by Mieke.
Anyone thinking of using Mieke for her skills, just give her the brief and let her work her talent, working with her on this project was a real joy as she is full of life and great to engage with. It’s truly remarkable what has been achieved for us and we are so thankful. A beautiful scene by a wonderful person.
