Floral Fence Mural – Burnside
Spanning approximately 24 metres, this large-scale mural was created for a private residence in Burnside, transforming a long, previously unremarkable boundary fence into a vibrant botanical landscape. Visible from the downhill side of Perwillowen Drive, just beyond the prominent oak tree, the mural brings colour and life not only to the property but also to the surrounding streetscape.
Working closely with the client, the design was guided by a defined colour palette and preferred floral varieties. The composition unfolds as a continuous floral feast, layered with blossoms and foliage that create rhythm and movement along the fence’s full length. The carefully selected tones harmonise with the home and garden, while the scale of the painted flowers softens the fence’s rigid linear structure.
The result is both decorative and transformative: a once-dull boundary reimagined as a joyful, immersive garden that enhances the visual experience of passersby and creates a welcoming atmosphere for the residents.
